The USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program (GHSC) recently hosted more than 240 commodity suppliers, GHSC staff, and partners for a three-day Supplier Summit in Dubai.

The Feb. 21-23 event featured our project and two partner projects, GHSC-Quality Assurance and GHSC-Rapid Test Kits, to explore USAID’s unified supply chain health goals under the new program.

USAID and project staff selected Dubai because of its central location for suppliers in China, Europe, India, and sub-Saharan Africa. Dubai also will be home to one of GHSC-PSM’s new regional distribution centers.

Initial evaluation from participants indicates a successful event. One supplier provided this email feedback:

“Thank you for organizing this big event.... We like your approach, working with your suppliers in a win-win partnership [and] look forward to continue working with you."
