Lead Paragraph/Summary

The USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project will embark on a new partnership with FIND and LLamasoft to develop an open-access laboratory network diagnostics tool which will increase data visibility and use for decision-making in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

This endeavor builds on results in the field of laboratory network optimization, an approach that facilitates national analysis of laboratory networks and disease burden to place laboratory equipment in optimal locations, integrate specimen referral networks, and best serve areas of high HIV and TB burden (among other diseases) in LMICs. Making the tool open-access will allow for the scale-up needed to achieve international health goals to control and ultimately end epidemics such as HIV and TB. Read more here.
