Lead Paragraph/Summary

In South Sudan, nearly 30 percent of married women have an unmet need for a modern method of contraception. Overall, the contraceptive prevalence rate is only 3 percent. To improve access to family planning in South Sudan, the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project has relied on strong partnerships to help improve contraceptive prevalence, including supporting distribution of contraceptives to more than 1,000 health facilities in the country.
