Description

Endorsed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Gavi, Global Drug Facility, UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA and USAID, the Global Standards Technical Implementation Guideline for Global Health Commodities is a resource developed for International Procurement Agency (IPA) trading partners to inform the implementation of global standards for product and location identification, labeling, and data exchange. Trading partners should use the GS1 General Specification as the primary reference document for technical specifications to meet the requirement in accordance with GS1 global standards. In any document that speaks to procurement requirements, each company is also individually responsible for meeting all statutory and/or regulatory requirements for the company and its products. Consult with your company’s legal counsel or compliance team (regulatory or quality) for more specific information about statutory and regulatory requirements on a country-by-country basis beyond those detailed in this document.
