Lead Paragraph/Summary

In October 2016, the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management project partnered with U.S. small business RC Partners LLC, taking the project one step closer to implementing global standards — with a focus on the GS1 system of standards — across the project. With global standards integration, the project's Automated Requisition Tracking Management Information System (ARTMIS) will be able to track and trace commodities through the global supply chain and support an enabling environment for implementation in country supply chains.

RC Partners conducted a technical review of ARTMIS, recommended approaches to ensure ARTMIS supports both compliant and non-compliant suppliers, and developed a road map for implementation of standards with suppliers. RC Partners also developed high-level requirements for leveraging these standards in country logistics management information systems (LMIS) to allow for the free exchange of data with ARTMIS and other supply systems.
