Lead Paragraph/Summary

Unbroken: Forging Supply Chain Resilience, a three-part USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) podcast, debuted on May 26. The podcast draws on the expertise of Haiti Country Director Dr. Florence Duperval-Guillaume and Supply Chain Architect Joseph Shobe. They talk about shocks to fragile public health supply chains, such as the 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and strategies for supply chain recovery. GHSC-PSM supply chain planners will be drawing on the measures suggested in Guidelines: Recovery Strategies for Public Health Supply Chains, which GHSC-PSM published earlier in 2021. The guidelines and the podcast address the kinds of shocks that supply chains suffer, the repercussions on delivery of health commodities, and how best to reach a “new normal” of supply chain functionality.
