Lead Paragraph/Summary

In 2018, there was a global supply shortage of the most popular family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) method: injectable contraceptives. Recognizing that this was not sustainable, in March 2019, USAID and GHSC-PSM introduced a generic brand version of the injectable contraceptive for the first time in 40 years.
