The Nepali government worked with GHSC-PSM to improve management and storage of key maternal health commodities, including oxytocin, which must be kept cold to maintain its efficacy. Through policy updates and supply chain and health worker trainings, Nepal significantly improved storage practices for oxytocin. This video features staff nurse Jyoti Pokharel, who works with pregnant mothers at her post in Kaski, Nepal and learned through GHSC-PSM initiatives how to appropriately handle oxytocin. She is happy that her actions can save mothers' lives by preventing and treating hemorrhage related to childbirth!
