In Ethiopia, GHSC-PSM worked with the National Malaria Control Board, the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative, UNICEF, and local partners to distribute 4.2 million long-lasting insecticide-treated nets to protect 7.56 million people from malaria. This technical brief describes the careful planning, multi-level structures and processes, and distribution channels used to mobilize and coordinate 10,000 people to support the Ethiopian government’s aim to provide universal coverage of one free LLIN for every two people in high-risk areas.

Ethiopia's Pharmaceuticals Fund and Supply Agency, with the support of the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project, launched a study to identify workplace segregation and the gender-related factors that contribute to segregation in the supply chain workforce. This technical brief provides an overview of the study and its results, which seek to guide the recruitment of women into jobs traditionally considered the province of men and to address the larger shortage of supply chain managers in Ethiopia’s health sector.
